Ludus Tours Announces Sports Management Veteran Ray Leonard Jr. As Vice President of Sales Ludus Hires Industry Leader Ray Leonard Jr. to Run Sales Division. SAN DIEGO, CA – December 28, 2011 – Ludus Tours has hired Ray Leonard Jr. as Vice President of Sales. Leonard will be tasked with managing the sales team and creating, developing and maintaining relationships with Ludus’ various sports partnerships. Leonard was the former Chief Executive Officer of Leonard Sports & Entertainment, LLC. As a certified NFL, CFL, and MLB agent, he led his company, Leonard Sports Management, to obtain a roster of many high profile clients from boxing to NASCAR. Leonard Sports client list included, Sugar Ray Leonard, Edwin Moses, Gary Sheffield, Michael Devereaux, Gary Trent, Sugar Shane Mosley, and a host of other talented athletes and entertainers. “This was an exciting career move for me where I was able to use my knowledge and experience and tie that into a great organization I believe in,” said Leonard. “What we’re doing at the grass roots level for a wide variety of Olympic sports is not only very important to me personally, but at the same time we get to be pioneers in our industry.” Ludus is the Official Hospitality Provider to more than 18 National Olympic Governing Bodies. Leonard grew up being exposed to sports and the Olympic Games from an early age. His first experience was seeing his father, Sugar Ray Leonard, win a gold medal in the 1976 Summer Olympic Games. Leonard was a two sport athlete (football and track & field) at Ohio University, where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management and Marketing. Leonard will oversee the sales team and the account management from Ludus and will work from their San Diego office.
